Moderno Construction Management, LLC

How did you get started in the building industry?

As siblings, our entire team was raised with residential construction as a way of life. Instilled in us from a young age, our lives were shaped around great subcontractor and industry partnerships, strong mentorships, unparalleled craftsmanship, and a passion for serving others well. As the industry continued to change, the market called for a new vision and a new way of connecting with clients. Gone are the days of hands-off construction. Up-and-coming generations are savvy, smart, and want to be guided in the process while maintaining control at the wheel. Moderno’s approach to business emerged to fulfill this need. We merged value-driven integrity with trend-forward design and infused client autonomy throughout our projects. Generations of knowledge and expertise become our client’s experience.

We confidently serve as a guide, resource, and educator through the construction management build process to ensure the home is value-engineered to client-preferred specifications and budget. There is no guesswork. We love what we do and we were born to do it. Here yesterday, here today, here to stay. It’s the Moderno way!

How do you bring a client’s vision to life?

It’s simple, really. You won’t find ego here and we ask a lot of questions. Approachable, real, confident, and driven to serve — we turn the client volume way up and listen intently to their vision, thoughts, and the way they live.

What sets your company apart?

Moderno Homes is different in that we don’t operate as general contractors but as project managers. We give our clients the agency, full autonomy, and confidence to be in the driver’s seat of their projects. Moderno brings everything to the job — the experience and education, the labor, the skills — but the client is ultimately in control. That’s a unique set-up for homebuilding.

We lead each project with understanding, great empathy, and calculated action. Our first goal, before all else, is to immerse ourselves in the needs of our clients. We must understand them before they can understand our suggestions and solutions to their challenges.

Taking on a building project while continuing their daily demanding lifestyle and family schedules is no easy feat. Guiding clients from the mindset of “I’m scared or overwhelmed,” to “one step at a time” is an important part of the process. When they feel they have a guide they can trust, the process organically grows into a relationship where they gain confidence in us and themselves.

When we can empower clients with education and advocacy to help them craft and create their dream home – there is great joy, reward, and fulfillment in that for us. It’s about bringing our clients into their projects. The house reflects them, from the time we dig until they turn the key. It makes for a completely different process than a general contractor would provide. Our process is about transparency and communication, and we love it!
