What are some of your favorite trends and styles in remodeling?
Sustainability is a hot topic, one that we’ve always had care and attention for. Preserving old doors and hardware and using natural materials when possible, recreating custom millwork, and elevating finishes to stand the test of time — hopefully, for another 100 years.
How do you bring a client’s vision to life?
We are collaborative from the onset, pulling from client inspiration and making recommendations utilizing decades of industry experience and Jkath standards that are guideposts for each project.
What sets your company apart?
At Jkath, we’re committed to timeless interiors, exceptional quality, and impeccable craftsmanship. With our team of design and building experts, we reimagine homes to function for today’s demands while honoring the charm and history that makes them unique. In the end, you get spaces tailored for the way you live, with design elements that transcend fads — just timeless, beautiful spaces for everyday living.
How did you get started in remodeling?
Our company was founded in 2010 as a custom cabinetry shop only. The efforts quickly expanded into remodeling, with a passion for the craft and attention to detail. A niche was developed in older, historic homes that need preservation and decades of combined industry talent to thoughtfully restore client projects.
What inspires and influences your work?
We are inspired by challenging opportunities with the ability to infuse custom interiors into each project we touch. Our clients are seeking excellence in design and build, and we look forward to opportunities to lead with our Jkath aesthetic while introducing new, creative, and custom elements. We are often inspired by travel and past work that we feel really proud of.
How would you describe your team’s approach to a new project?
Our process is rooted in collaborative problem-solving and open communication, ensuring every voice is heard and input valued at every step. Our team of experts source each element with care, implementing the design with thoughtful precision. In the end, we strive to deliver timeless, beautiful spaces that welcome our clients home.
What are the most important elements of a successful remodeling team?
Trust, communication, and a shared commitment with our homeowners to a beautifully finished home that we all feel proud of.
What do you enjoy most about remodeling homes?
Making old spaces feel new again, preservation, and the opportunity to lean into sustainability, as well as using thoughtful materials and expanding our craft into dozens of subcontractors’ hands, impacting not only our clients but also the small businesses and families who work on our projects.
