What got you started in custom homebuilding?
A deep passion for design and high-quality construction. We saw the demand for truly custom homes in every price point and wanted to show our clients and communities they can have a unique, high-quality home no matter size or budget.
What inspires and influences your work?
Our clients inspire us. We find immense pleasure in the consulting phase of projects where clients come to us with their ideas, budget, location and style and we help put all the pieces of the puzzle together with an end-result they never thought imaginable.
How would you describe your build style?
A modern take on classic architecture. This style can be seen in many of our projects, but our style is simple, quality. We strive to achieve perfection with any style of architecture and ultimately our build style is taking what the client envisions and making it reality.
Why do you think your clients choose you as their builder?
We are proud to say our work speaks for itself, like all the excellent builders on this tour. Our clients have come to know the kind of quality we will deliver. What sets us apart is the relationship that’s created. The process is long and can be stressful at times, but when you are working with a friend it makes all the difference. This is a relationship that doesn’t end on move-in day and that’s something that we are very proud of at Detail Homes.
What are some of your favorite trends you’re seeing this year?
We are loving the acceptance of simple, modern with all age groups. This is a style that we are getting more and more requests for and it’s refreshing to see in Minnesota. As a company that has a true passion for design as well as construction, it’s always fun to work on something new and unique.
What do you wish others knew about your company?
How much fun we are! We love what we do, and it shows in every step of the process. We like to have a good time and think that the process should mirror our passion. Building your dream home does not need to be strictly business all the time, let’s have a good laugh along the way.
